Message from CEO
Matrix was formed to help Japanese institutional investors allocate capital more effectively to Alternative Investments and to help facilitate Asian and Western investors establish cross border businesses through direct investments in these asset classes.
We do advisory, placement and cross border joint ventures and investments. We have worked with some of the leading alternative investment managers, including the investment entity of an Asian government.
Fund Raising and Placement:
Our capital raising business for funds and club transactions is largely Japan facing. We help Japanese institutions make intelligent and coherent allocations to alternative investments using a didactic and consultative approach. As a result of this process institutional investors seek our advice and look to us for guidance on asset classes, strategies and specific fund managers.
In this capacity we occasionally have also helped Japanese investment managers (Private Equity & Hedge Fund) expand overseas.
Cross Border Ventures & Advisory Engagements:
On this side of our business we work with strategic investors: Sovereign & Government linked entities, operating companies and Japanese Trading Companies to identify, source and execute overseas strategic investments and joint venture partnerships.
